I have recently completed a self-awareness assessment through Deakin University (Deakin University, 2018). Within this assessment, I completed a skills audit and my current skills identified are:

- Teaching/Training Others
Skills recognised that I have but can improve on are:
- Analysis
- Problem Solving
- Planning and Organising
- Technical Skills
- Verbal Communication
- Facilitation
I understand communication skills to be critical in a Software Engineering role. While verbal communication is a skill I can improve on, I have demonstrated in past work and volunteer experiences that I have existing well-formed written and verbal skills in this area.
